A seasoned and award-winning brand and marketing expert, Maya has built her expertise and reputation managing both local and global brands in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa.

After spending the first years of her career in multinational FMCG with brands like Olay, Gillette, NIVEA, and Labello, Maya launched brand and marketing consultancy Itani & Company in 2015 to bring international caliber techniques to local companies in order to improve their brand positioning and marketing strategies.

At Itani & Company, she focuses her energy into helping companies build brands that build businesses. She works with brands of all sizes from ambitious startups to established global giants with services such as brand strategy, marketing strategy, market research, and workshop facilitation.

A passionate advocate for women in the workplace, she has also volunteered on the leadership team of the Dubai chapter of Ellevate, a global network for professional women, since 2018 and currently holds the role of co-president of the chapter.
